Lord Jim was founded in 1973 by Sharif Zahra, a young, adventurous entrepreneur and fashion designer that found a home in Bogotá, Colombia after travelling the world in the pursuit of his dream, to build a business dedicated to the design and manufacture of high quality leather goods.
It was there that through hard work and commitment he would develop his skills as a successful businessman and leather craftsman. In 1990, in their strive for expansion and progress, Sharif and his family decided to move to Puerto Rico, where he soon opened his first store, in the heart of the city of Old San Juan.
